Moist Air—Unconscious State

Unconscious State, as its name suggests, is an oppositional or counter-state of Conscious State. And Unconscious State in Mandala of Characters is exactly on the opposite side to the Conscious State. Therefore, Unconscious State is the State that is most distant from Unconscious State. However, despite the fact that Unconscious State is the most distant from Conscious State, these states have frequent and direct contact with each other.

The diagram below shows the Mandala of Characters for Moist Air type. In this diagram, we can see where its Unconscious State is.

As we can see, Moist Air has its Unconscious State at the point marked as—Dry Earth.

Please note that the names:
— Moist Air (Moist Air’s Conscious State),
— Dry Earth (Moist Air’s Unconscious State)
also reflect the contrast between Moist Air’s Conscious and Unconscious State.

So, figuratively speaking, when Moist Air moves to its Unconscious State, then this type becomes its opposite.

On the oval frames around Mandala of Characters, there are short descriptions of what functions and mechanisms we can find in particular parts of Mandala. Overall, these descriptions show eight main reference points of our psyche.

  • Four of these reference points relate to four basic psychological functions, which are:
    — Intuition,
    — Sensation,
    — Thinking, and
    — Feeling.
  • The other four reference points relate to the four main adaptive-defensive mechanisms, which are:
    — Extraversion,
    — Introversion,
    — Perceiving, Abstraction,
    — Judging, Empathy.

If we look at Mandala of Characters, we can see that Moist Air’s Unconscious State is closest to the reference point, which is in the lower left corner. This reference point concerns adaptive-defensive mechanism, which his:
— PERCEIVING, Abstraction.

I have briefly described this place in Mandala of Characters using the following concepts, phrases, and symbols:

dry
light, knowledge, here & now, difference, consistency

On Mandala of Characters, I put my short definition of “PERCEIVING, Abstraction”. About the creation of this definition, I write among others in the works—“The Mandala of Characters—Construction”. As we can see in the diagram above, this condensed definition of “PERCEIVING, Abstraction” is as follows:

( PERCEIVING, Abstraction—
—to compete—movement, action—analysis—find & deal )

Moist Air’s Unconscious State is also close to the reference point at the bottom of the Mandala of Characters. This reference point concerns the basic psychological function, which is:
— SENSATION.

I have briefly described this place using the following symbols, phrases, and concepts:

EARTH
( autumn—existence & sense )
position, SENSATION, benefit
( stubbornness / defend )

The above concepts, phrases, and symbols located near Moist Air’s Unconscious State can already tell us a lot about the main state of this type.

Besides, I am working on broader studies of this state and other states of Moist Air. At the moment, it is difficult for me to say when I will finish them. However, I very much hope that I will successively complete one chapter after another.
