Earth—Conscious State

Conscious State is our leading psychological state. Therefore, in Mandala of Characters, the names of the character types come from the places where individual types have their Conscious States.

Therefore, in Conscious State of Earth type is at the point where it is—Earth.

On the oval frames around Mandala of Characters, there are short descriptions of what functions and mechanisms we can find in particular parts of Mandala. Overall, these descriptions show eight main reference points of our psyche.

• Four of these reference points relate to four basic psychological functions, which are:
  — Intuition,
  — Sensation,
  — Thinking, and
  — Feeling.
• The other four reference points relate to the four main adaptive-defensive mechanisms, which are:
  — Extraversion,
  — Introversion,
  — Perceiving, Abstraction,
  — Judging, Empathy.

If we look at the Mandala of Characters, we can see that Earth’s Conscious State is closest to the reference point, which is at the bottom. This reference point concerns basic psychological function, which is:
— SENSATION.

I have briefly described this place in Mandala of Characters using the following concepts, phrases, and symbols:

EARTH
( autumn—existence & sense )
position, SENSATION, benefit
( stubbornness / defend )

The Conscious State of Earth-type is also located between two reference points, which we can find:
— on the lower left corner, and
— on the lower right corner.

These reference points concern two adaptive-defensive mechanisms, which are:
— PERCEIVING, Abstraction,
— and INTROVERSION.

On Mandala of Characters to describe these two places, I also used a set of concepts, phrases, and symbols.

On the lower left corner this set is as follows:

dry
light, knowledge, here & now, difference, consistency
( PERCEIVING, Abstraction—
—to compete—movement, action—analysis—find & deal )

Two last lines of the above set contain a brief definition of “PERCEIVING, Abstraction”. About this how I create this definition, I write among others in the work—“The Mandala of Characters—Construction”

In turn, in the lower right corner, we can find this set of concepts, phrases, and symbols.

( INTROVERSION—
—to be—subject, relation—experience—protection & promotion )

Like in the previous set, two last lines contain my brief definition of INTROVERSION.

Two above adaptive-defensive mechanisms have less impact on the Consciousness of Earth-type than mentioned above basic psychological function: SENSATION. It is simply because Earth-type is located in the place, where is the function—SENSATION .

Besides, about the type “Earth” says a lot its name, that is:
— Earth.

Being “Earth” in a symbolic sense shows the way of being, attitude towards other people and their reception by this type of character.

The above concepts, phrases, and symbols located near Earth’s Conscious State can already tell us a lot about the main state of this type.

Besides, I am working on broader studies of this state and other states of Earth. At the moment, it is difficult for me to say when I will finish them. However, I very much hope that I will successively complete one chapter after another.
