3. Hans Jürgen Eysenck’s personalities

The above diagram we can find among others in the following article and video:

Above we can see the diagram of personalities by Hans Jürgen Eysenck.

This diagram, like the Mandala of Characters, is also based on the Ancient Typology. Inside Eysenck’s diagram, we can find a division into four temperaments derived from antiquity, that is:

  • Melancholic,
  • Choleric,
  • Phlegmatic, and
  • Sanguine.

In the previous chapter, I showed how the division into temperaments looks like in the Mandala of Characters. And if we compare the arrangement of individual temperaments in Mandala with Eysenck’s diagram, we can notice their different location. That is, we can see that the Eysenck’s diagram is differently located in relation to the Mandala.

So, to fit the Eysenck’s diagram to the Mandala of Characters, all we need to do is to turn it properly. Specifically, it will be 135-degree clockwise rotation. Thanks to this, we can see how the Eysenck’s diagram looks like in comparison with Mandala. Please take a look at the diagram below.
