Second Square - Introduction
The Mandala of Characters—Second Square
The first square includes the following types of characters:
- Wet Water,
- Cool Earth,
- Dry Fire, and
- Hot Air.
The above four types move around the same square. Specifically, each of these types moves between their psychological states within this square. The difference between the types is that the psychological states for each type are arranged differently in this square. For example:
— Conscious State of one type is in the place where there is Unconscious State of the other type,
— and the Power or Vulnerable State of one type is in the place where there is Power or Vulnerable state of the other type.
Let me remind that in Mandala of Characters, I distinguished four main psychological states:
- Conscious State,
- Unconscious State (or Complementary State),
- Strong Self-Esteem State (or Power State),
- Soft Self-Esteem State (or Vulnerable State).
In Mandala of Characters, the name of each type comes from the place where its Conscious State is located. This is because each type in most situations prefers to follow mainly its Conscious State. Conscious State, therefore, plays a major role in the psyche of each type.
I will present how exactly the psychological states are arranged for each type of second square in the following chapters.
