Update 1.34 — Eight reference points.

In this update, I want to draw attention to the fact that we generally have eight reference points on the Mandala of Characters. This means four main and four auxiliaries in the Mandala of Characters.

Also, I want to draw attention to the arrangement of the lines with concepts and phrases. These lines we can find on the frame around the Mandala of Characters.

To present this new arrangement better, I will use two diagrams I started using in the last few updates.

The first diagram shows the four main reference points of our psyche. And the second will contains four auxiliary reference points.

Here is the first diagram with the main reference points of our psyche.

In the diagram above, we can see that:

  • At the top, I have put the most symbolic concepts. These concepts derived from the Ancient Typology. These are so-called Classical Elements, that is, Air, Earth, Water, and Fire.
  • In the next line, I put the Seasons and their definitions. Definitions which I created.
  • Below are the basic psychological functions. For each of the psychological functions, I also put two additional terms to help understand the meaning of psychological functions.
  • And in the last line, we can see the main emotions and specific action tendencies that concern these emotions.

The next diagram shows the auxiliary reference points of our psyche that are distinguished on the Mandala of Characters.

In this diagram, we can see that:

  • As in the previous diagram, the highest line contains the most symbolic concepts. It means these are the qualities of Classical Elements, namely, hot, cold-cool, dry, and moist-wet.
  • Below are the concepts and phrased that relate to different methods of thinking, or the main issues of our considerations, thought, reflections, etc.
  • The lowest lines contains adaptive-defensive mechanisms and the definitions of these mechanisms that I have created.

The above arrangement of the lines with concepts and phrases in the main diagram looks as follows:

Finally, let me remind you why the arrangement of the main and auxiliary reference points I presented in the way as in the diagram above?

So, in the main diagram of the Mandala of Characters, we can see that:
— the main reference points of our psyche are slightly closer to the center of the Mandala,
— and the auxiliary reference points are further away than the main reference points.

This arrangement shows symbolically which reference points are main, and which are auxiliary.

Besides, the main and auxiliary reference points form one whole. I presented it in this way that the areas with descriptions of the main and auxiliary points:
— together they form one frame of the Mandala of Characters,
— and they overlapping.

In this way, I symbolically show that these areas influence and overlap each other.
